The GOP’s 3 Stooges – Is This Really the Best We Can Do?

In 2012 Elections, Barack Obama, Herman Cain, Humor, Paul Ryan, Politics, Ron Johnson, Sarah Palin on November 4, 2011 at 8:00 AM

The GOP field of candidates has been pretty much set for the last month, and there are only 3 real front runners.  They are Larry, Moe and Curly….oops, sorry, I meant Romney, Cain and Perry.

THIS IS THE BEST WE COULD DO?  Seriously!?

Milwaukee’s Jay Weber All Wet on Palin 2012

In 2012 Elections, Barack Obama, Politics, Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin on November 23, 2010 at 5:00 AM

Local Milwaukee morning conservative talker Jay Weber had a segment this morning on the viability of Sarah Palin as the GOP nominee in 2012.  He took a few calls from listeners, and ended the segment with his own take.

I think he, and his callers, totally missed the bigger picture about the 2012 race for the White House.

Just about every caller to Webber’s show said something to the effect of “I like/love Sarah Palin, but….”.  What followed the ‘but’ in the calls varied slightly, but few if any said outright that they did not like her.  There are a few very important things that I think Weber and his callers missed. The Past is Prologue for Palin

In 2012 Elections, Barack Obama, Politics, Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin on November 18, 2010 at 5:00 AM

Ronald Reagan.

His name calls to mind the image of an almost invincible political force.  His 1984 re-election over Walter Mondale ranks 5th all time in electoral college margin of victory at 525 – 13.  That year, the entire map, save for Mondale’s home state of Minnesota and the District of Columbia were Reagan red.

It’s all too easy to forget that only 6 years earlier, such a thing was seen as unthinkable.  In fact, Reagan was totally dismissed by most of the punditry.  (Sound familiar???)

Most people “in the know” seem to think the same thing about Ms. Sarah Palin, and I wonder if these people are oblivious to US political history. Read Entire Post

Flippin’ Embarassing? I Think Not

In 2012 Elections, Politics, Sarah Palin, Tea Party on November 15, 2010 at 5:00 AM

The Boston Herald published an “op ed” on 11/15/2010 written by Jennifer Braceras entitled Flippin’ Embarassing?  You Betcha! reacting to the premier of Sarah Palin’s Alaska on TLC.  Ms. Braceras describes how she has been a Palin supporter since the 2008 election, and defended her in multiple venues.

But, much to my surprise (sarcasm intended), now Ms. Braceras can no longer abide the “absurd” Palin and her “cutesy” Twitter messages and worst of all, her wearing shorts around the house.

I have a message for Ms. Braceras and those who think like her:  Go away.  We are tired of people like you, and the ridiculous standards you create for “public servants”.  You know less about “regular life” than anyone alive, and every word you utter exposes you as a haughty self obsessed elitist.

I watched Sarah Palin’s Alaska last night, and was incredibly impressed with the level of access and the lack of “staging” that was included in the production.  Watching Ms. Palin and her family in the confines of their own home was inspiring and refreshing. Read Entire Post

Democrats’ Midterm Message – Voters Are Just Too Stupid

In Barack Obama, Campaign Ads, Crazy Liberals, Harry Reid, Health Care Reform, Humor, Nancy Pelosi, Politics, Sarah Palin on October 13, 2010 at 4:24 PM

The New York Times ran an editorial today lamenting the likely fate of poor Russ Feingold at the hands of voters in the 2010 Senate race.  The Times’ underlying message:  Wisconsin voters are just too stupid to understand why Russ is such a wonderful Senator, and would only vote for Ron Johnson because they are too dumb to know any better.

As a Wisconsin resident, allow me to tell Russ,  the New York Times, and the rest of the Democrats one simple thing.  The voters are not stupid, but they are beginning to think you guys are. Read Entire Post
